RETURN POLICY
While we stand by the integrity of our wines, we recognize that bottles can be subject to damage or flaws on occasion. If you suspect something may be wrong with a bottle you’ve received, please contact us so we may swiftly rectify the situation.
If you should have a broken bottle or damaged delivery issue, please contact the winery within 30 days of delivery. We will work with you to resolve the problem to your complete satisfaction, which may include replacement or a full credit.
SHIPPING POLICY
Our goal is to have you receive your wine in the same condition that it leaves the winery; to that end all wines are stored at an optimal temperature and inspected before leaving our fulfillment center. Damages may occur in transit, as such, please inspect all packages within your order as soon as they arrive. Should anything be broken during shipment, please contact us immediately so that we may open a claim with the shipping carrier and replace your damaged wine as quickly as possible. Please note that returns for shipping damages are not eligible after 30 days from the date of delivery. Missed delivery attempts, re-routes or returned shipments may adversely affect wine quality and will result in additional carrier fees.
RETURN/SHIPPING FEES
Wines that are eligible for return due to damage or flaws within 30 days of delivery will be refunded to the original payment method, less applicable shipping and handling fees.
Return & Handling fees will be assessed for returned shipments, missed deliveries, address corrections, carrier redirects, and reshipments.
PLACING A MEMBERSHIP ON HOLD
As a VGS member, you may place your membership on hold for a maximum of 12 months or skip four consecutive release shipments (whichever comes first). Once the holding period has concluded, your membership will automatically reinstate, and deliveries will resume in accordance with the release schedule. Memberships placed on reoccurring holds/skips will be subject to cancellation.
MODIFYING OR CANCELING A MEMBERSHIP
VGS memberships require a 1 year minimum commitment (4 shipments) to accept quarterly allocation shipments. After 1 year, your membership will automatically renew until you either submit an email request or call to cancel.
To modify or cancel your VGS membership, please email us or call 707-255-9440 x3. Cancellations received before the collection of payment for a specific club release will be made effective immediately. Cancellation requests received after payment (regardless of shipment status) will be effective following delivery of the paid order. Returned orders as a result of membership cancellation are subject to return shipping and handling fees.
Our early cancellation fee is equivalent to the value of the remaining shipments you did not receive as a part of your club membership subscription requirement, as well as any discounts and complimentary tasting fees you received as part of the club benefit. Your first eligible cancellation date is one year from your signup date.
MEMBERSHIP BILLING & SHIPPING PROCEDURES
Email notifications are sent in advance of every wine release, giving you the opportunity to update account preferences including payment method and delivery address, or make special arrangements should you be traveling or unable to receive delivery.
If no changes are requested, VGS Chateau Potelle will proceed with billing the authorized credit card on file, and the wine order will be shipped within one week unless another delivery date has been arranged.
Please remember, alcoholic beverages may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years of age. By law, an adult signature is required at the time of delivery, as such, we recommend shipping to a business address. Both UPS and FedEx will attempt delivery 2-3 times before returning packages to the sender. Undeliverable shipments will be subject to a return shipping/handling fees. Reshipped packages will be at the expense of the member.

WINE IS A DELICATE COMMODY
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. VGS Chateau Potelle monitors & chooses shipping dates very carefully. If the customer specifies a unique shipping date it is the responsibility of the customer to reschedule shipment due to temperature.
DECANTING & STORAGE
We recommend letting our wines rest after delivery for a few weeks before opening. However, if you’re in a VGS emergency and can’t wait, open the bottle and decant it a few hours before you plan to enjoy it. Wine is delicate so we recommend storing in an area that never exceeds 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
